Tomorrow premieres on Canvas Fine Art Gallery, 305 Recinto Sur in Old San Juan, the exhibition “From Canvas to Skin” impressionist and surrealist works of artist Michael J. Korber, plus five works of body painting (body painting) by artist Carlos Trevino, the body works will be painted on the models bodies with the impression of the work's of Korber

Michael Korber, winner of the Grand Prix des Arts at the Malta International Art Biennale, in Malta, has a style that does not fit within the traditional rigors or currents. His style does display his influences from both expressionist and surrealist. Another essential prize Korber's career is that he was awarded First Place in Painting in Grolla d'Oro di Traverso, in Italy in 2002.
The work of this artist, has participated in solo and group exhibitions on four continents, has the characteristic of light and color intensity. The movements of his forms and abstractions give sense to a chaotic world. The paintings are abstractions of specific events he has experienced in his life. Among his works which will be exhibited at “From Canvas to Skin” is “Enlightenment”, “She was quite Besides herself, “Waiting for a path of purpose” and “With one foot in at all times.”

Michael Korber was born in Brooklyn, New York - lives in Prague, Czech Republic - Studied at the Pratt Institute of Design, in NYC - had an apprenticeship with artist Manuel Vega in his Atelier in New York - was Creative Director of Gonzalez Padin store chain in Puerto Rico and curator at West End Fine Arts Gallery. He has exhibited his work in the United States, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Spain, Libya, Egypt, Germany, Puerto Rico, France, Malta, Italy, and Luxembourg.
Skin Art
Carlos Trevino was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, and studied at the School of Plastic Arts in Old San Juan. He also studied a series of short courses of art in Spain. Two years ago, he got involved in body painting. Trevino defined his painting as an exploration, that works according to the proportion, of organic and geometric shapes of the human body. The young artist works in all styles, and what determines its course is what he needs to express in a given time. In this case, therefore, Trevino will be focusing into the organic and geometric forms - that allow you he reaches what wants to express: always taking into account that the person on which he paints and there understanding of his concept of being painted so that he can project what needs to be conveyed. For the first time in a gallery show, he will exhibit five inspired bodies of Korber's painting, creating an interaction between the canvas and the painted bodies. Among his best known commercial works of, Carlos Trevino is work with Becks, as well as his projects with Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Macy's and Coors Light.
