Korber Awarded First Prize in Paris, France

In 2002, Artist Korber was awarded first prize in painting at the Art and Literature competition at Atelier Z of Center Culturel Christiane Peugeot, in Paris, France.

Atelier Z is located a few meters from the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, one of the most famous monuments of Paris. It was the site, of the thematic exhibition L'Enfer (Hell), based on Durante di Alighiero degli Alighieri, aka Dante's Inferno. The award ceremony was held at Christiane Peugeot, Centre Culturel Christiane Peugeot, in Paris. There Korber was presented with the First Prize in Painting by the president of the cultural center Christiane Peugeot - Peyron, and Blanine Masson, the gallery director.

Korber's prize-winning canvas was in the medium of oil on raw linen and was entitled "Canton 1 - Consumption of Fear".
