The work of Michael J. Korber at the Unarmed Underground takes its theme from personal experience as well, providing a window to his past and to his pain. His colorful and complicated canvases are pure emotion. In "Death of Josephine", Korber creates a poignant pieta as he paints the childhood memory of his mother dying of cancer in his father's arms. Korber paints death, divorce and dance with power and verve.
