BB Kings Blues Club on West 42nd Street was the site of a live experimental performance of painting and music by Korber and Ultrastar* in 2000. This event was one of the BB Kings Blues Club's new venues aimed at New York night owls.
Korber and Ultrastar* followed Hubert Sumlin's (Chicago blues guitarist and singer) birthday celebration performance. The stage was packed with blues greats like Jimmy Vivino (guitarist for the in-house band for the TBS late-night program with Conan O'Brien), Levon Helm (American rock musician, drummer, and lead and backing vocalist for The Band), and many others.
Korber and Ultrastar*'s (Glen Nelson and Chad Palmer) performed their live painting and music collaboration to the energetic NYC late-night audience. It was an accelerating experience that concluded a tour of experimental performances that began earlier that year at South Florida's Respectable Street Cafe (a premier live music club in South Florida) and South Beaches Blue.
