Korber is a passionate man, and quite successful at putting his feelings to canvas. The painting "Death of Josephine" (bottom left) is a striking piece that captures an important time in the artist's life. “It's about my mother's death. My mother died in my father's arms. ”

"I'm happier than I've been in my whole life,” claims 35-year old Michael Korber. "I've been fortunate enough to make a living off of my work for the last year and a half." A difficult task, indeed - just ask the nearest artist. Born in Brooklyn, the West Palm Beach resident moved around awhile before settling in South Florida. “I lived in San Juan for about eight or nine years and lost my accent,” Korber says.

When asked who Korber claims as an influence he says, “No one really, although there always been one image that has stuck out in my mind: Duchamp's ‘Nude Descending the Staircase.’ In my paintings I basically try to project personalities.“
