Korber uses the human figure, not as a mere study of anatomy, but to deal with much deeper issues about being human and the soul.

Encounters
Meeting new people can be exhilarating. For me, this encompasses a whole spectrum of emotional, intellectual, and collaborative exchanges. These encounters are a driving force that leads to self-reflection, shifts in perspective and lays essential foundations for continued growth.

Among my most cherished memories are those associated with immersion in rich cultures and connection with diverse characters. Some but a brief moment and some emerging from a longer stay in a new city that becomes yet another new home.
The diversity, idiosyncrasies, and differing views of our shared reality fuel my endless curiosity and sense of wonder. Most of my inspiration, however, comes from noticing those underlying threads of the fundamental human qualities that unite us all, no matter how different our external circumstances.

Every storyteller needs a place to tell their story. My atelier is the place where I tell mine. I have had the privilege of working alone and in collectives across cultures. These experiences have influenced and shaped the way I see the world.

In a way, each studio is a chapter in my life. The events provide the backdrop, my colors tell the story and my lines capture the details. The visual language of my work has evolved through exposure to many different cultures, environments, languages, and most importantly, through interaction with wonderfully diverse characters. Without a doubt, my work is the creative synthesis of the totality of these experiences.
For me, a studio is much more than just a place. It must provide the conditions conducive to creating and an atmosphere free from emotional constraints and distractions. In this way, one can freely develop oneself and one's mind and arrive at an unadulterated state of being. Thus my atelier is a place where time becomes nonsequential and all barriers dissolve.
