Just one year prior to this exhibition, the Atelier Z - Centre Culturel Christiane Peugeot awarded Korber the first prize in the "Art and Literature Competition" for the oil painting on linen entitled "Canto 1 - Consumption of Fear". It represented an artistic interpretation of the "Inferno" from Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy", the show's inspiration and title of the exhibition.
Atelier Z - Centre Culturel Christiane Peugeot currently operates under the name Espace Christiane Peugeot.
The dreamlike world of Michael J. Korber, is filled with lush richness of the palette, the energy within his technique and sometimes the tactile materiality. Ever so slightly, his works gaps between Surrealism and Expressionism.
